Located three kilometers from Playa de Guayabitos is an ecological reserve with a wide variety of flora and fauna among which you can see turtles, pelicans, seagulls, Blue Footed Boobys, a variety of sea life and much more. It is also a coral reef area, so diving and snorkeling is recommended. There are water taxis that will shuttle to to and from the island. Spend a few hours or all day. Additonally you could rent one of our kayaks and paddle out and around the island or around Jaltemba Bay.

Rincon de Guayabitos (also known simply as Guayabitos) is a popular beach resort area located in the municipality of Compostela, in the Mexican state of Nayarit. The resort area occupies about two km of beachfront and is a popular vacation place due to its gentle waves and proximity to the cities of Puerto Vallarta, Tepic and Guadalajara. It is 40 miles / 65 km north of Puerto Vallarta Airport (PVR) and takes about an hour and half to make the trip via car or taxi.
