Greg & I finished building Guayabitos Casa Encantada at the end of 2013 and began sharing our home in January of 2014. We enjoy living here in Mexico and meeting the variety of people who cross our paths.
Both of us are from the United States. Greg grew up in North Dakota, spent a year in Florida, before Uncle Sam drafted him to serve his country. This path allowed us to meet in Washington where I had lived all of my life. We raised our family of 2 girls and a wide variety of animals on our 10 acre farm in Kingston, WA. This chapter of our life finds us here on the beach in Mexico, loving the sunshine and different pace of life.
Currently we welcome guests from November to May, with exceptions in other periods depending on our travel or home maintenance projects.
Our guests have enriched our lives with their stories, talents and friendships. Some return year after year and we feel honored by the friendships that have formed here at Casa Encantada. As you enjoy the photos on our web page of the property and the of the sites that you will see in the area, note that some are taken by professional photographers who we have had the joy of hosting here at our home. I have noted their name on the caption of their photos, where I can.
Feel free to check out the websites of one such skilled photographer, Richard Krieger. Richard, who normally resides in Oregon when not traveling the world, took most of the ‘banner photos” on our Home Page. You can check out some of Richard’s other works on his web site : http://www.gaiafineartphotography.com/work.
